BIK Trailers Warranty

All BIK Trailers come with a 2-Year Structural Warranty along with a FREE First Service. Our warranty applies to both Domestic and Business use.

What does this mean?

  • 2-Year Structural Warranty: Covers any manufacturing defects related to the trailer chassis and body for a period of 2 years.

When is the warranty void?

The warranty is void if the damage results from:

  • Misuse
  • Accidents
  • Lack of proper servicing

Why is Trailer Paint Not Covered?

Paint and coatings are not covered under warranty. A trailer operates in a harsh environment, constantly exposed to rocks, dirt, UV rays, weather conditions, and wear from loading/unloading. Even the toughest coatings can suffer from chips and scratches.

Examples Where Warranty Does Not Apply:

  1. Overloading: Exceeding the legal carrying capacity of your trailer can cause structural damage.
  2. Accidents & Punctures: Hitting curbs, bending wheel rims, or jack-knifing the trailer may cause damage not covered by warranty.
  3. Springs: Reversing without locking the over-run brakes or pushing a heavily laden trailer up a curb can cause damage to the springs.
  4. Wheels: Regularly check wheel nuts and torque settings. Loose wheel nuts can cause significant damage.
  5. Rust: We do not cover rust damage. Trailers exposed to moisture and scratches may develop surface rust, which slows down further rusting. Regular repainting and maintenance can extend the life of your trailer.

Making a Warranty Claim:

  • For any issues, please contact us. The warranty operates as a return-to-base warranty, meaning the trailer must be returned to us for inspection or repairs.

Servicing:

  • Just like a car, your trailer needs regular servicing. We recommend a yearly service and more frequent checks if the trailer is used daily. Even if your trailer is not regularly used, parts can deteriorate over time.
  • First Service is free within 6 months of purchase.

By following the above guidelines and maintaining your trailer properly, you can ensure long-lasting performance and protection. If you have any further questions or need assistance, don't hesitate to contact us!
